"The Premiership is where everybody with ambition wants - and needs - to play. I am no different. Unfortunately, Nationwide football isn't for me. It can't be. If I was coming to the end of my career and was settled with family, then may be things would be different. But I'm a single lad, ambitious and, hopefully, have a long career ahead of me."

"Mark my words, there are enough good players here to bring us straight back up. But the league table does not lie. We have not been good enough this season."

"Our fans have been unbelievable all season, though. They have seen the writing on the wall for a while. They are not stupid and know we've been struggling to stay up all campaign. But their support has been magnificent - and I'm sure it still will be for our last two games of the season. The fans have been fabulous ever since I came in to the team and I can't thank them enough for the way they've supported me. They know this is a massive football club but, unfortunately, we are in Division One now. If we had been as good as our fans this season, we would not have been relegated. At the end of the day, I am a Leeds United fan, too. And, wherever I go, I will always support this club."

Just not wearing a shirt obviously
