Silvestre was part of a 30-man squad named by France coach Jacques Santini but Alex Ferguson has confirmed that Silvestre will remain with the United squad all week before flying out to Paris 24 hours after the Millennium Stadium match.
"Mikael will stay with us for the final," said Ferguson.
"That is what we agree with Mr Santini and he will join up with them the day after the final."
