SILVESTRE IS FIT

MIKAEL Silvestre is expected to be fit to fly to Germany on Tuesday for Manchester United's Champions League Group E match in Stuttgart on Wednesday.

The French defender missed the champions' 4-1 victory at Leicester City on Saturday after picking up a knee knock against Arsenal at Old Trafford.

But Silvestre looks set to resume his partnership with Rio Ferdinand at the heart of United's defence against the Bundesliga leaders.

"Mikael was able to train with us yesterday and was running so he should be fit," Sir Alex Ferguson told M.E.N.
