It is always the same. As soon as a small time club with
fickle supporters gets a taste of the big time, the ticket
arrangements go to pot. It happened in 1994 when Chelsea
reached the FA Cup Final; it has happened to Rangers now
they have been drawn in a match bigger than any cup final
that Scotland has to offer.
The Daily Record reports:
Furious Rangers fans hit out yesterday at a Champions League
ticket shambles. Thousands of supporters besieged Ibrox,
desperate for a chance to see their heroes play star-studded
English champs Manchester United.
But many who queued for briefs left empty-handed and police
were called amid angry claims of an unfair ticket allocation
and queue-jumpers.
