Work began last Thursday on a brand new Old Trafford pitch. And with the Tuesday deadline looming, the groundsmen have been frantically trying to have the pitch laid so it can bed in.
The relaying of the pitch began on the morning immediately after last Wednesday's Champions league fixture against Bayer Leverkusen.
The pitch is now three-quarters completed, and possibly the most critical stage now comes when the pitch needs to knit itself together.
Work will continue until 10pm on Tuesday to have the newly laid Old Trafford surface ready for action on Saturday.
