SPAG BOL FOR BREAKFAST

Fergie:

"I don't think playing a match at 12 noon affects the players' mental pattern.

"I think what you are looking at is getting more recovery time after a European night.

"They tend to be quite intense, a lot of passion involved and nervous energy used up. It was a marvellous game of football against Basle and it takes its toll on players."

Dave:

"Playing at lunchtime is a little bit difficult preparation-wise. You get up at 9am and there is spaghetti bolognaise for breakfast.

"I can understand why the fans are unhappy about this because it is difficult for them getting to games at 12 in the morning. We have to overcome that."
