SPARE A THOUGHT FOR LEEDS UNITED

Our Yorkshire friends lost 0-1 at home to Leicester but off the field debts may send them into a deeper crisis. What a shame that would be.

The Mail:

A payment of £1.2million is owed to the Inland Revenue by December 15, while it is also understood a further £800,000 is required later this month to pay off a VAT bill.

There are fears Leeds are struggling to find the required funds, sparking suggestions the club could be plunged into administration before Christmas, incurring with it an automatic 10-point penalty which would drop United into the relegation zone of the Coca Cola Championship.
