SPECIAL NEEDS

England captain David Beckham will need to have a substantial financial package to safeguard his family and property should he decide to move abroad.

That is the view of security consultant Mike Yardley, who says the Manchester United midfielder faces "real dangers".

"He is settled more or less in the UK. I am sure he and Victoria are very aware of security. They have probably got it pretty well sorted at home - but if he moves abroad they're going to have to start all over again. When you're in the public eye to the extent they are, when your wealth is as visible as it is in the case of the Beckhams there are real dangers. There are real security issues and ones which must be assessed seriously."

"Today you have to consider all these different threats. We are living in a rather odd world where if you are in the limelight very bizarre things might happen to you."
