SPURS NOT WILLING TO GIVE UP

Tottenham want to keep hold of Michael Carrick despite moving for St. Etienne's Didier Zokora. Spurs assistant Chris Hughton said:

“I wouldn't think it was inevitable. It's something that always happens with the best players.

“With the season Michael had it's always possible clubs will be interested.”

United are expected to put an offer of £15 million.
