'SQUAD GAME'

"Today's football is very much a squad game.

"It's not been easy for Ruud sitting on the bench but . . . it has been impossible to leave Louis Saha out since the Carling Cup final, given his tremendous scoring form.

"Playing all three strikers is possible in some games . . . but not always because it can leave us with the wrong balance. The one thing that's certain is that all three will play their part and help us maintain the momentum.

"It is a great challenge for us now. Chelsea's consistency at present is good, but we have to finish as near as possible to them to leave a marker for next season. It's frustrating but we can take something from it because we had problems earlier in the season with injuries. A lot of our form comes from John O'Shea and Ryan Giggs playing in the centre of midfield."
