"I am happy to say the players are working hard and in the mood to turn things round.
"Failing to go through to the knockout in Europe phase was a major setback. Finishing bottom of our group was very distressing. We were favourites to win the group but never looked like living up to that reckoning.
"There is no disguising the fact we struggled to come to terms with the tournament and we have to put it down to a lack of experience."
