STINKS OF HONKS

Stinks of told TV cameras that he thought Ferguson had won the penalty by complaining about Graham Poll last Sunday.

"We're all bitterly disappointed and angry that he gave a penalty," he said. "I'm 50 yards up the pitch and I could see a push on Andy O'Brien - and the ref is 10 or 15 yards away and he can't see it. Maybe he (the referee) feels he is under pressure because of Alex's comments after the Manchester City game last week when he said he was never going to get a penalty. I think he (Ferguson) has been given one today rather generously. At 1-1 they're rocking and we're looking to win the game. A decision like that has totally changed the game."

"I'm not so sure the ref would give it at Old Trafford for us - I know that because I got one disallowed last year. It hasn't been a good week but there's been no complaints about effort, commitment and passion - that's all there. The dividing line between success and failure is very small and we feel we are not far away. If we keep playing like we are things have to turn at this club. No-one is panicking."
