Barca are in the Intertoto along with Bangor City who Blackmore now plays for. It is possible that Barca could meet Bangor in the third round on July 19.

Clayton said;

“We have two tough games first but it would be really exciting to play Barcelona. But I’m not sure David would like the idea, I honestly don’t believe he will sign for Barcelona – especially when he sees they are in the InterToto against the likes of us!”

He also backed Fergie;

”The manager always does what he thinks is best for United. If he can bring in three or four class players with the money he gets for David, then who can argue?”
