TATE TO STAY IN WALES

Swansea City have decided not to extend the loan period of Danny Nardiello. The United striker's one-month spell on loan from Old Trafford ended after Saturday's win over Darlington.

Bryan Flynn was still waiting for news from Sir Alex Ferguson on another United loan player, Alan Tate.

A call went in to Old Trafford today for Tate to be allowed to stay for an extended period.
