THAT'S ONE WAY OF LOOKING AT IT

Fergie:

"Sometimes you need a kick up the backside when you are going along like that. The draw with City can act as a reminder of what we must do if we want to achieve something. We were careless in the derby and it cost us and we cannot afford that in the run-in.

"This is a big one. Two big clubs going head-to-head you can't ask for anything bigger than this in the FA Cup. It is a terrific game. You just cannot dispute the enormity and interest that has been created by this clash.”

Giggs is fighting to be fit after returning to Manchester from international duty to have intensive treatment on a calf injury suffered in the derby. Mark Hughes said:

"There was never much chance of him playing when he arrived in Cardiff on Sunday. He's had plenty of treatment, but it wasn't going to work. In fact I'd be surprised if he is fit enough to play for United in their FA Cup tie with Arsenal at the weekend."

Nicky Butt:
"There will be a lot more away fans and that should make the atmosphere a lot better. You have to give Arsenal credit for the way they have performed this season but, whenever we meet the big teams, we always seem to bring out the best in each other.

"We have Juventus in the Champions League straight after that, so these are two big games and once we get through them we will know where we stand.

Arsene Wenger:
“My expectation level is very high. I want a big performance because I feel we were not that convincing in our last game there.

“The FA Cup is still a big competition, and the best way for us to keep our belief high is to win everywhere we go. To strengthen that belief would be even more significant for us if we beat Manchester United.

“We have been consistent and we're on a good run. Our next step is to get back the killer instinct that we usually have but the belief is there, and the way we are playing strengthens that belief.”
