It seems Manchester United are feeling the pinch over the £790m Glazer takeover. When former boss Tommy Docherty requested two tickets for Old Trafford to celebrate his daughter's 21st birthday, the club duly obliged - along with an invoice for £45.
"I wish I hadn't bothered if that's how they treat their former managers," said Docherty
But it was a different at another Premiership ground weeks later. When Docherty had wined and dined he went to pay but was told the bill had been taken care of. The club? United's rivals Liverpool, who The Doc's United beat in the 1977 FA Cup final.
