THE INTERNATIONAL BREAK

The MEN reports that SAF has used the break in the Premiership for international matches to take a quick breather and recharge his batteries before the title run in really hots up.

A united insider said: "The manager has taken this opportunity to take a short break overseas.

"He only gets two real holiday chances a year - and the summer break can hardly be called a break because he still ends up busy dealing with transfers and such like.

"And even when he gets a break like this one, he usually ends up fitting work into it somehow - he often ends up in a country where there is a game to see.

"With the players, those on international duty will be busy so it is no rest, but it is a change from the routine, which is a good thing.

"The manager wants his players, as far as p possible, to take a break from the media and everything else, so they will be ready for the challenges ahead."
Perhaps he has heard that Madrid is nice this time of year.
