Pleased with the match
"The finishing was good and the performance was good, I was pleased about that. I have no complaints, we had a good appetite to play. West Ham always come and have a go at us and give us a game but the early goal killed them and put us in a good position and really it was a good performance."

"All players lack confidence sometimes in their careers. Ryan has come back, he played on Wednesday and did exceptionally well for us. He worked hard and it was the same today and his bonus was getting a couple of goals."
Killer goal
"Just after the break two quick goals killed the tie. We were allowed to make two substitutions and I wanted the team to play in comfort in terms of not killing themselves, just keep it simple and we got the reward for a good performance."

"The second goal was fantastic if you look at the replays, he hit it with the outside of his foot. Getting free to have the shot and the execution of the shot was terrific."
Back to our best?
"I would like to think so but the important thing is we play with confidence. We show an appetite and when Keane is playing he encourages us all. It is a good period for us."
Is the squad big enough?
"Nicky Butt is back, Fortune is back in three weeks. At the moment we have got a good squad with some younger players like Pugh, Richardson, Chadwick and Stewart and I think we will be ok."

"I don’t think there is any drop in the FA Cup or the Worthington Cup, we have always viewed the cup as an important trophy and we will try and do our best to try and go further than we did last year."
