From The N.O.T.W:

The FA will use a lawyer who has acted at some of the world's most infamous murder trials to take on Roy Keane.

Jim Sturman QC specialises in murder cases and also represented Primrose Shipman.

He's currently involved in the re-trial of American Robert Kleasen, accused of murdering two Mormons in a case that inspired the Texas Chainsaw Massacre movie.

And he also helped defend Colin Stagg, who was cleared of murdering Rachel Nickell in the highly-publicised Wimbledon Common case. But we can reveal the top QC is now planning to defend the FA in the double disrepute case against Manchester United's tough skipper.

Sturman's London office at The Chambers of William Clegg QC last night confirmed the FA's interest. Senior legal clerk Steve Clarke said: "The FA have asked Jim Sturman to represent them in the Roy Keane case."

Sturman has extensive experience in murder, armed robbery and major drug cases and is a specialist in extradition orders.

The Tottenham fan has even battled AGAINST the FA at disrepute cases when he's represented top Premiership players like Robbie Fowler, Jimmy-Floyd Hasselbaink and, most recently, Dennis Wise.
