SAF managed to wrap up Becks' time at OT in a single sentence:

"David has been an integral part of all the successes that Manchester United have achieved in the last decade.

And he also wishes his wife well!

"I would like to wish him and his family every success in the future, and thank him for his service to the club."

Vincent Del Bosque however hints that maybe Beckham wasn't the he was looking for:

"The acquisition of Beckham is in keeping with the philosophy of our president Florentino Perez since he arrived here,"

"He's a football icon and a great player. He's a player that is not limited to one particular part of the field. He's a midfielder that can play in different positions."
