This from the Sun on how John O' Shea could have joined the vermin, if they'd had their heads screwed on.

John O'Shea lines up for his first major cup final against the side who snubbed him as a youth.
Manchester United's Republic of Ireland defender had THREE trials with boyhood idols Liverpool.

But the Mersey giants sent him back to Waterford and he eventually joined deadly rivals United.

Noel McCabe, who discovered Roy Keane, said: "I spent a lot of time watching John when he was 14 and knew he was an enormous talent.

"He had already turned down one or two clubs and had not been on trial anywhere.

"He was a big Liverpool fan and was delighted when I fixed him up with trials with them. Everyone was convinced he was going to sign.

"I still have a letter from Liverpool to John, effectively saying that he wasn't good enough and wishing him the best with the rest of his career."

Heehee, serves them right.
