THEM BELLY FULL (BUT WE HUNGRY)

"Everything is thoroughly professional at training and when we are at games. Roy likes to say his piece on the field to everybody within earshot but that's fine.

"You need certain characters like that to give everyone a jolt. For me Keane is top quality and he's an even better player than I thought he was."

"When I played against them I didn't realise just how good he was, it's only when you are in the same team that it really comes home to you.

"We'll miss him when he's out injured, there's no doubt about that.

"I've heard it said he's a loner but he's just a family man who likes to get back home to them after training.

"I've met plenty of players like that. David Batty was the same at Leeds. There are players like that all over the country. He's a normal bloke who gets on with his job and puts 100 per cent into it."

"Being at United is a great education for me. Playing alongside Laurent Blanc will help me learn because I know I'm not the finished article by any means.

"Laurent is an awesome player. He's been at some of the world's biggest clubs and played at the highest level for France - so working alongside him can only benefit my game. He got some criticism last season when United were letting in goals but I can't judge him on what went on when I wasn't here.

"All I can go by is what I see now and he is first class. I've nothing but admiration for him.
