****how tabloid sportsdesks ''work'' pt. 94****

MGN and News International are currently at daggers drawn over the future of Sir Alex Ferguson. 3 consecutive days & 3 consecutive bigtime vicious anti-Fergie assaults from Canada Square's major columnists: Des Kelly on Friday, Brian Reade giving it the Thatcher comparison in Saturday's Mirror and Mike Parry in Sunday's People.

Meanwhile, however, the NOTW's M.U. specialist James Fletcher continues to rave over United & Fergie, branding critical supporters 'loons' on MUTV, ably supported by effusive pro-Fergie columnist Andy Gray, whilst The Sun
keeps uncharacteristically quiet on the roaring debate.

Hmmm. So guess which of the two media organisations is livid about having had three banning orders from SAF's Old Trafford over the past year?

And which other one has signed up Ferguson and pet star player Giggs as columnists - and also produces two hacks a week to do pro-Fergie press reviews on 'Pravda' MUTV? And, umm, is the major shareholder in BSkyB, Erstwhile employers of Ferguson's son?! Which in turn co-owns MUTV with United?! And which has just appointed the ex-United chairman as media rights advisor in a disreputable 'revolving doors' turncoat deal? Sigh.....

Conflict of Interests, anyone?
