THERE'S TROUBLE IN THE DEAR SEATS

VIP fans were today issued with a stern warning by club bosses after posh away supporters were accused of stirring up trouble.

Rich fans who have forked out around £20,000 a season for private boxes and hundreds of pounds for luxury seats in Old Trafford's executive area have been officially warned by the club about the rowdy behaviour of their guests.

The club has received a series of complaints from die-hard Reds fans about away supporters cheering in home seating areas.

The practice of businessmen handing over executive passes to clients who are away fans flouts the normal segregation of opposing fans.

The club has now issued warning letters to all box and executive facility holders after receiving complaints about the behaviour of opposing supporters.

And a couple of quotes:

IMUSA’s Mark Longden: "Seeing fans cheering in ends meant only for the home supporters is annoying and can cause trouble."

Paddy Harverson: "We are reminding our box and executive seat holders that they are ultimately responsible for the behaviour of their guests during a game.

"What we want people to do is behave sensibly when sitting in their seats watching the game so as not to cause any safety or security problems.

"This is not just an Old Trafford issue, it is a problem common to a lot of grounds across the country. We want people to enjoy the game, but all we are asking is they behave themselves."
