THIS WEEKEND'S TRANSFER STORIES

Ronaldinho: The Screws quote PSG’s coach Luis Fernandez: “If the club decides it is time for a juicy transfer then I won’t prevent him from leaving. The NOTW claim that the coach and Ronaldinho have ‘strained’ relationship and that Fergie is ready to move. Clever Red Ish readers should not be surprised about this.

United and The Dippers are watching Michael Dawson according to The NOTW. He is a young centre half who plays for Forest and was present at that England get-together recently. £4 million apparently next summer.

The Observer reports that we are watching AC Milan’s John Dahl Tomasson.

The Star claim that both us and City (yes, really) are keen to sign Chelsea’s £11m forward Eidur Gudjohnsen

The Express ran the Robbie Fowler for O.T. story yesterday. We have known about this story for some time and there have been rumours on our forum. No doubt time will tell.

Planet Football reckons that we are after Real Madrid duo Claude Makalele and Santiago Solari. they say that Solari may move to Inter Milan first (as part of the Ronaldo deal - Inter are owed a player) and then they may sell him to United in part exchange for our very own Welsh ’wizard’.

The NOTW say that United were in for Rivaldo just after the World Cup but were ‘frightened off by the proposed £20 million fee. A couple of weeks later Barca got rid on a no strings free.
