TIME TO CONCENTRATE ON UNITED

An FAI spokesman said: "We are delighted that Mick has agreed to stay in
charge for another two years. We were aware that he was seriously
considering his position after the Roy Keane affair, and it is good for Irish
football that he is staying on."

It is unlikely that Keane will make any kind of apology to McCarthy or the FAI
as he feels he was badly treated himself. The FAI were quick to jump to
McCarthy's defence when Keane laid into the Irish manager before the World
Cup.
