TODAY'S THE DAY

Some reports suggest that it's a case of any minute now over the transfer saga for Ronaldinho. The French paper L'Equipe says:

'If Manchester United come to the meeting with an offer of €30 million (£21million) plus a five million euros profit sharing scheme, Ronaldinho will be theirs,'
'Ronaldinho is expected any day in Manchester to sign a five-year contract.'

It all sounds so simple, doesn't it? But that lovable scamp who is Ronaldinho's brother and more importantly agent, Robert Assis, sees things differently.

"I don't think that the signature will take place this week as Ronaldinho is still in Brazil and has things to do,"

"I am very happy for my brother and myself. We are waiting for the clubs to reach an agreement before Ronaldinho returns from Brazil.

While SAF said:

"We are obviously pursuing the Ronaldinho thing very intensely now, it's getting to that stage.

"It's maybe just about there, we don't know. We are very close."
