TRANSFER RUMOUR

Philippe Mexes’ representative Oliver Jouanneaux:

"Auxerre have told us that Philippe will be sold this
summer. There were reports saying Spain was Philippe's
preferred move, but that is not true.

"I think, and having talked with him, that the English style
would be best for him as he would have more time to play -
which is what he is good at. It is nice when clubs are
watching, but Philippe does not get carried away with this
sort of thing. He will be expecting to play at a good club
in the Champions League, but essential will be what the club
and the coach has to say to him.

"We don't know who will want him in the summer or who will
come in for him. We know who has watched him, and Manchester
United for instance already know him well as he went there
about five years ago.”
