TRANSFER RUMOURS

The Sun reports that we are after Harry Kewell, quoting a
£6m price for the 24 year old Leeds midfielder.

They also report that we are after Patrick Kluivert to
partner Ruud Van Nistelrooy. They quote Van Nistelrooy as
saying:

"Of all the Dutch strikers Kluivert is the most complete. If
he and I could play together at club level it is
understandable that people will think we will be a fantastic
partnership. I believe Manchester United had the last 'super
partnership' in world football when they had Cole and Yorke
at their peak. Since those two moved on I don't think any
team in the world has even approached the partnership which
Andy and Dwight had - not even Raul and Ronaldo at Real
Madrid. Patrick and I are compatible. He could play just
behind me and set me up with goalscoring passes because at
United I play much further up the pitch than I do with
Holland. He is the typical Dutch No10 - a complete creative
player who makes you goals and scores them."

The Sun also link us with Eidur Gudjohnsen and Jay Jay
Okocha from Bolton.

Meanwhile the Guardian claim that Nedved is Fergie’s main
target, with Paul Robinson from Leeds also being linked to
replace Barthez.
