The press is reporting that we are looking to sign teenager Freddy Adu. He is only 14 years old and though born in Ghana, lives in and plays for America. He already has a £600’000 sponsorship deal with Nike and is currently competing in the under-17 World Cup in South Korea.
Adu's agent Richard Motzkin said:
“Every top professional club in the world will have people at this tournament. Clubs like to sign players young. This is the youngest [in terms of age group] tournament of its kind, and it will be well attended by scouts, agents and club officials.”
