Maurice Watkins has criticised the style of the FA
disciplinary hearings:
“I do not believe these cases should be pursued in such a
confrontational way,' he said. Why can't they be talked
through in a less accusatorial manner as they used to be?
Maybe it is an issue for another time but we have had to sit
through this hearing for such a long time, mainly because
neither player had been through anything like it before.”
