Officials at Old Trafford have bid £14million for River Plate's Andres D'Alessandro, according to today's News Of The World.
The 20-year-old midfielder is being hailed as the new Maradona in his native Argentina.
An official for River Plate is quoted as saying, "talks are progressing."
