Mick Conroy, who discovered Liam Miller told the Daily
Record: "I watched the Champions League game on television
and I saw Sir Alex Ferguson at Celtic Park. He might have
arrived to watch Vincent Kompany of Anderlecht but he would
have left the ground with Liam on his mind.

"That's why I would like to see Celtic tie Liam up quickly.
Liam was dominating games against older players at the age
of 15. He wanted to leave school and enter the FAI's academy
in Cork on a fulltime basis, so he got a letter from his
headmaster giving him permission to make football his chosen
subject.

"He came back to Ireland thrilled to bits after a week's
trial at Celtic Park. That's why Celtic have got to get
those contract talks out of the way."
