UNITED MAKE OFFER FOR MAKELELE

The player's agents Marc Roger and Jaime Ladjemi are currently in Madrid for talks but they have yet to be informed if Real have accepted United's reported offer.

Ladjemi said: "We think they (United) have made an offer. We are now waiting to see what happens, Claude is obviously happy where he is as Real are not a bad club."

"He has played in France and Spain during his career and United's interest is always going to be interesting to a player."
