UNITED NOT HAPPY WITH CHAMPIONS LEAGUE CHANGE

Soccernet reports that United and other members of G-14 are ready to got to war with UEFA because of the new look Champions League. Last month UEFA decided that the second group phase of the competition will be scrapped and replaced by knock-out rounds. However this doesn't seem to have gone down to well with the big clubs as the overall number of games will be reduced a United insider said:

 "For two more home games we are talking millions of pounds and that is crucial in the current climate."

The new format is also a step backwards from a European League which is something that has been talked about for a number of years
