Keano told GMR:

“Zidane has proved to be the best player in his position for
the last three years,

“I have played against him two or three times and he is
someone I admire greatly. Obviously, he plays in the same
area of the field as me and the challenge of coming face to
face with him again is one to relish.”

Looking back on his season thus far, Roy said:

“Overall it has been a frustrating season for me. However, I
am feeling fairly good now and hopefully the injuries are in
the past now.

“Physically I'm quite strong and now I'm just looking
forward to what should be a big six weeks.”

Looking back to previous failures at quarter final level,
Keane said:

“I don't want to go down that road again,

“All we have to worry about is getting past Real Madrid.

They are a fantastic side and a great club and that will be
a challenge in itself.

“We have disappointed in Europe over the last few years and
now we have to try and put it right.”

Meanwhile Fabien is also a big admirer of Zidane:

"I have been repeating for the past years that he is
definitely the greatest player on the planet," Barthez told
L'Equipe.

"We have known each other for years, since we were 17, when
we first met at the occasion of a tournament in Toulon,

"We have the same personality, or at least a very similar
one.

"We are quite discreet, we are not great talkers and people
don't hear much about us.

"Zizou is a man I appreciate greatly, he is so authentic.

"When he is angry for example he cannot hide it. With him
it's either black or white, never grey. He is pure."
