...as Wenger is determined to seal a deal for a striker first.

United are re-igniting their interest in Marouane Fellaini in light of the defection of Alcantara to Bayern Munich. As widely reported, United are also locked in a game of cat  and mouse with Everton for the signature of Baines. Baines will add an extra dimension to United with his phenomenal ability for assists and ball-in-the-box attitude. Rafael, on the right flank has similiar qualities to Baines as an all-action, ball-playing, marauding full-back. The two will complement perfectly Uniteds goal hungry quartet of Van Persie, Rooney, Hernandez and Welbeck.

Bill Kenwright and Roberto Martinez are resigned to losing two players that are reportedly keen to move on.

Roberto Martinez wants to have his war chest at the ready and would prefer to have ample time and leverage to operate in whats left of the transfer window. Martinez cannot do this whilst Baines's and Fellaini's futures are shrouded in uncertainty.
