Spurs went into the second leg with a 4-1 lead from the first leg but the Championship side took them to extra-time having been 3-0 in front after ninety minutes.
Spurs eventually secured their place in the final by scoring two goals in the last two minutes of extra time to win the tie 6-4 on aggregate.
