"I know he picked a few youngsters, but if they're at United they should be good enough players to be able to beat a team like Burton. But this lot clearly aren't up to it.

"I think Fergie should jack it in now. He's had great success but I think he's stayed on too long at United. The Burton game was a case in point.

"People want to remember him for what he did at United, not for what he is in grave danger of undoing. I think his decision- making right now leaves a lot to be desired."
