Valencia have given up hope of signing Cristiano Ronaldo. Valencia president Juan Soler admitted: “This is something you should only talk about at a party after several drinks.

“Wanting to sign Cristiano Ronaldo is like searching for utopia. Let's pray we can soon see one of the pearls of world football arriving at Valencia. But it won't be Ronaldo.”
