Queiroz has cooled down the speculation surrounding Veloso and a move to United. He said:
"Miguel Veloso has been looked at already,"
"We have looked at a lot of players, like Joao Moutinho. Do we like them? Yes, of course. However we cannot work with 200 players."
However Veloso still seems to be angling for a move away from Sporting.
"If an English club was interested and a move works for both myself and Sporting then I would listen to offers," he said.
"For me, the Premier League is the best championship in the world.
"The top players are there and it is more competitive than La Liga, where Real Madrid and Barcelona are the main clubs."
