VERON BACK FOR THE YONNERS

Last updated : 19 February 2003 By Editor
Veron hasn't suffered a broken toe as was first feared and he should be back for the match against Bolton on Saturday. Speaking to MUTV he said:

"Going back a couple of years I had a similar knock on the same toe, but at that time I sustained a fracture. This time it is only bruising and that is great news.

"If anything, missing the Arsenal game hurt me even more because I wasn't able to help out in a big game. It means the bitterness and the sick feeling you get in your stomach after a defeat like that lasts even longer. But there is no point looking back all we can do is look forward and hope things pick up."

And on the mental aspect of Saturday's defeat he said: "I don't think Saturday's defeat will influence things in the league. All we have to do is think that the cup run is over and concentrate on the league, where we have been playing well and have been consistent in our results."
