Juan Veron:

"What Ferguson did to me isn't something that has been
eating me up. It is something that has happened. It is
behind me and I won't allow it to get to me.

"Ferguson spoke to me before the pre-season trip to America
about a possible move even though he was telling the media
on tour I was staying! What more can I say. It makes it
difficult to live but he decision was taken out of my hands.
There was nothing I could have done and my conscience is
clear.

"At no point did I ever go to Manchester United and say,
look, I wanted to leave. Sure the offer from Chelsea was a
good one - but I didn't want to leave. I was committed to
Manchester United and the club knew how well I could play.

"They had seen it patches, I had turned in some good
performances for the club and they knew what they were
getting in me. I don't know why Ferguson called me a
disgrace? Why did he say that? He knows that I was committed
to United."
