Vieria, whose future with the Gunners is in doubt, has said that he will never play for Manchester United or any English team other that Arsenal. The Highbury hero is currently considering the North London giants offer of a new contract but has been linked with a £50 million move to Real Madrid.

Vieira told Planetfootball.com when asked if he would play for an English side: "The answer is no. I would never play in England in another shirt than Arsenal's. If I was to leave it would therefore be elsewhere".

The French World Cup Winner has played a pivitol role in Arsene Wenger's side this season, helping fire the Gunner's to the top of the league. However, Vieira's agent Marc Roger's was not revealing where his man would be playing his football next season.

He said: "Arsenal have made to Patrick, that is what we are talking about".

"But Patrick will decide for himself, and whatever his decision is, I will accept it."

"My philosophy with players is simple, I want them to be happy".

"If he decides he wants to move, I am happy".

"Why can't he stay as long as his contract allows?"
