WAYNE'S WOE

Gary Neville:

“The manager makes decisions which he feels are best for the players and the team. But it is not going to change Wayne as a player because he is still one of the best forwards in the world.”

Liar23:

“Wayne is a great player and when he is playing for United on Saturday he will be working hard and pressurising people like he did against Spain. By experience, and with the people he has got around him, he will calm it down. A few players had a word with him on the pitch towards the end of the first half. Wayne will learn himself. He was upset coming off and it was frustrating for him.

“He looks like a man and holds himself like a man but sometimes things like that happen because he is so young.”

Sven:

“It was the first time for England that I have seen him lose his temper, although maybe we've seen little flashes before. But while age is not an excuse, I would say it's an excuse for me. Life goes on. We hope he learns. He plays for a big club and he will learn plenty of things. He should use his temperament in the right way. I think he will do that. I really don't know why he was like that. There was so much hot temper out there in the first half, from both sides to be fair. It was not a friendly at all.

“It was his first time in a stadium like that. Normally, he is very cool. I would say that his age is an excuse for me. He has to learn and he is playing for a big club so he will learn. Wayne should use his temperament in the right way - and I think he will.”
