Wayne Rooney has been voted the best player under the age of 21 in Europe. Rooney topped a poll of 30 leading sports journalists conducted by the Italian newspaper Tuttosport.
Rooney came out just ahead of Cristiano Ronaldo, with Atletico Madrid's Fernando Torres in third and Arjen Robben in fourth place.
