Manchester United and Liverpool both want a greater
percentage of the money earned from the sale of overseas
television rights
They believe that because of their popularity abroad, they
deserve more than teams who hold no attraction to the
lucrative market in the Far East.
"We are getting the same share as the other Premiership
clubs but are generating by far the largest audiences and
bringing in the greatest value to that contract," said an
Old Trafford source.
"We are not saying clubs should have the chance to sell
their own rights overseas but that there should be a
structure to the deal that reflects what we bring to the
party."
WE WANT A BIGGER SLICE OF THE PIE
