He adds:

On injuries:
"It would be great not to get injured at all, but that is life and you just have to get on with it."
"If the ball is there to be won, as a defender I will try to win it. I play football and the medical staff is there to pick up the pieces.
"I have never got injured from a tackle. It has always been things like turning on a pitch in training, when I have been on my own.
"There are a lot of players who tackle harder than I do. Why the injuries keep happening to me, nobody knows."
