'Sven Goran Eriksson is making a whistle-stop trip to Thailand - to launch
an electioneering campaign for Manchester City owner Thaksin Shinawatra.
City boss Eriksson is making the trip next week to sign Thailand right-back
Suree Sukha. But Eriksson, who watched Peter Crouch star for Liverpool
on Tuesday night, is also being sent there to try to put former Thai Prime Minister
Shinawatra back into the spotlight. Shinawatra is currently banned from taking
part in the elections on December 23.'
