“I feel sorry for Louis. I think going to Manchester United was an important opportunity for him and now it looks as if it has gone. Manchester United are the best club in the world and if he wants to become a better player then really he has to take this opportunity. He would be at a club where he would be learning from better players and performing against the very best in the Champions League. Louis has already done brilliantly for Fulham. He has scored lots of goals and, if he has the chance to move on from there, he should take it. Why not? Opportunities like this come around only once in a player’s career. I don’t think it is about the money for him. I think he just wants to play with players who are champions and to learn from them. Any player who has this chance would take it and Louis is no different.”
